ReflectionWhere is the lighting coming from?
The lighting is coming from in front of the girl. What is the position/gesture of the model? The position is straight on. What is the setting/background? The girl is most likely in front of a building, maybe in a city. What is the point of view/distance of the photographer? The point of view is straight on and there is a close distance between the photographer and the girl. What is the impact/mood/message of the portrait? The impact of this photo is to show the average girl where she lives. The photo sets a dramatic mood. |
ReflectionWhat images did you select for your double exposure?
I selected a picture of my dog and a picture I took of Atlantis. How do the objects relate compositionally? The water in the photo in the background lines up with the shape of the black on the side of my dog. The couch also lines up with the water in the other picture nicely, and it makes it look seem like my dog is resting against the water. How did you manipulate and modify each image? I changed the opacity of the top image and the eraser tool, with a low opacity. What steps did you take to merge layers to create a unified image? I put the picture of Atlantis under the picture of my dog. How do your images relate conceptually? In the photo with my dog he is looking outdoors and the other photo is outside. What concept, idea or meaning does your double exposure convey? The idea of the double exposure is that my dog is imagining he is outside as he looks out the window at the scenery. |
